Any cool places to have a party in San Francisco?

I'm looking for a restaurant/lounge/bar place to host my birthday party in San Francisco preferably near a bart. Ideas? Cheap alcohol and not too expensive are pluses

Try the Mission. From BART, get off on 16th or 24th street stations.  Plenty of cool places within walking distance.

Powell Street bart station- Buca di Pepo restaurant is walking distance.  Italian family sytle menu, loud, fun place.  

Jillians Billiard club is on 4th st., also walking distance, pool tables, dance floor, regular drink prices.  Call ahead to find out type of music playing on your night.

16th St bart station- Walking distance to 16th & Valencia.  Blondies is a small bar w/ a big crowd.  Famous for their potent cocktails.  Music & small dancefloor. gets very corwded.

Elbow Room accomodates a larger crowd. Call to check for music.

Double Dutch is a cool bar on 16th near guerrero. Check for DJ.
