  1. The harbour is really close to the city center so you'll have access to everything fun to see and do.  I lived in Barcelona for three months and I have a website about my favorite tourist attractions, I'll link to it below.  I would say that Parc Guell and the Sagrada Familia can't be missed.  You can also use Barcelona Connect, and English-language site, for up-to-date info on what's happening in the city.

  2. Exhibitions:

"Vinyl. Records and Covers by Artists" at MACBA

"Edward Burtynsky's photographs" at Toni Tapies Gallery

"Douglas Gordon" at Fundació Joan Miró

    Festival:

    Digital Barcelona Film Festival

Check out www.lecool.com for barcelona selected events (up to date weekly every thursday)

  3. I live in Barcelona and all the places are cool! Around the harbour there are a lot of little bars and restaurants but they are quite expensive. The best thing is to go up to 'El Born' which is in front of the Francia train station, there are some really good bars and night clubs and also great shopping. From there you can walk up to the 'Barrio Gothic' and it is full of little streets with excellent places to visit if you continue straight up you'll arrive in 'Placa Catalunya' which is really the centre of BCN (watch your bags!) The best thing is to get off the main streets and go down the little streets as there are loads of little bars and clubs. If you want more information there is a free magazine (The metropolitan) for English people which can be found in most hotels and Irish bars, it has information on bars and restaurants and also any events which are happening. Enjoy!
