This is my 1st pregnancy. I was wondering if any of your babies were REALLY active in your belly. My baby is kicking constantly and moving a lot. I'm 33 weeks by the way.

Is this mean that I will have a hyper child? Any correlation between being active in belly and after he's born?

Personal experience would be appreciate it. Thank you!

  1. Being very active in the belly has nothing to do with being a really hyper child. My daughter was very active in the belly too.

  2. My first son got really active in the third trimester, he kicked up a storm and even cracked my ribs. When he was born he was a very happy child, slept threw the night and everything. He is now 6 and very active. The personality is very similar from tummy, to growing up. Not in a bad way tho.:)

  3. Both my babies were very active kickers. Sometimes it really hurt. At the end, i got very fed up with being kicked all the time.

My two sons are 21 months and 7 months. The oldest is a very active boy, rarely sits still, always wriggling around, couldn't cuddle him as a baby because he was always wanting to get his hands on something or head off somewhere else. My second son is still pretty active but not as active as the first, but he loves to be bouncing around on his feet. he was probably the worst kicker in my belly.

I have read that there is no correlation between prenatal and postnatal activity but there has been in my experience. My neighbour's first baby hardly kicked at all.

some women who are overweight may not feel the kicks so much. some babies are in a position where you can't feel the kicks so much.

be prepared for an active baby, I'd say!
