Any country? Olympic Athletes? ?

Hey which athletes did you have no idea about from other countries or even your own who went extreemely well..

for example i had no idea who usain bolt was until now!

I didn't know of Usain Bolt, or any of the Gymnastics girls. Also Tom Ashley who won New Zealand a gold medal in the sailing, very impressive! The favourites didn't do so well at these Olympics - more of the 'unknowns' seemed to perform super though!

Same here. I never knew about Kristy Coventry (sp?) before, Kitajima, or any of the Chinese woman's gymnastics team. Or their diving team, which I believe is a new team. Like you, I've never heard of Usain Bolt either. But I do think that his name describes him very well xD
