Any country names???

Question

I know a few ppl who are named India and America or Paris and London.

Do you have any other country names?

I once worked with a lady who named one of her little girls Asian.  That is not really a country (more "continental" heh heh).  Personally I thought it was hideous, though.

paris and london arent countries....but you mean baby names after locations, right? i know someone named brooklyn, and i really like that name- maybe brooklynn for a girl. but, ive never been there- i would think if youre gonna name your baby after a place you might wanna check out what kinda place it is, but hey ive never been to india paris or london either. oh also, dallas is a popular name, as is austin.

Israel, Ireland, Russia, Milan, Geneva (both of them are in Italy), Monaco, Georgia, Florida, Dakota, Virginia, Europa, Carolina, Louisiana, Laos, Egypt, and Persia.

Dakota, Carolina, Cheyenne, Savannah, Brooklyn I've known people named all of these, but those names are horrible, in my opininon..

Dominica, Cierra (Sierra Leone), Scott, Georgia, Virginia, Lydia(a place in Greece), Lyndsey (a kindom in England, that's not there anymore) are all nice ones.

I don't know if all of their parents were specifically thinking of naming them after the place, or if they just liked the sounds of those names.

If I was going to name my kid after a place, it would probably be Dacia which doesn't exist anymore, but used to be a country, or Dominica,  or Cyprus. I might spell Cyprus like Cypress though.

There are actually lots of names that come from place names, like Lydia, or Lindsey, we've just forgotten the meanings.

Ireland is actually gaining popularity.

Paris or London and countries, but I get the drift - big recognizable places.  I wouldn't name a child after my own country - Canada.  Brrrrutal.

Australia is another one I've seen in a few places.  Boston and Brooklyn and getting more popular too.

Carolina and Dakota.  Virginia.  Sydney (Australia).  

Israel for a boy.
