Any cricket movies out there?

I have lost count of the no. of sports movies made in Hollywood. Some are even watchable. But none for cricket unfortunately.

An Indian friend recommended a bollywood movie 'Lagaan' and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Amazing how much melodrama you can stuff in a 3 day game.

Is there any good cricket movie out there someone knows of?

Lagaan is a great movie..... one of the best works of the Indian Cinema, it was also nominated for the Oscars.

I think only Bollywood will produce movies related to Cricket because the are just crazy about the game !!!!!

Not a cricket movie, but in the movie "ANZACSs" they play cricket in the trenches in between battles.

There are a few Bollywood movies made on cricket. I eagerly await "Victory", starts Brett Lee and members of the Indian cricket team.

'Iqbal' is a good movie. The story follows a cricket-obsessed deaf-mute boy from a remote Indian village as he aims to overcome his difficulties and become a talented cricketer and fulfil his dream of playing for the India national cricket team.

Few very inspiring movies have been made in India based on cricket like:-

Lagaan- Based on a strory of a village team playing with British ary & finally beating them in their own game to save their debt.

Iqbal- Its about a deaf guy who also can't speak but he's really motivated to become a cricketer. His hard work pays off finally & his dream comes true.
