The question is, how do I start this pattern? I chain 2 and then I did the 1st hdc stitch but how do I do the 2nd -9th stitch. I tried to do the 2nd stitch but I didn't see the chain to put the hook into or do I put it somewhere? Please someone help me

  1. Put the 2nd-9th stiches in the same chain stitch. You will make a circle. then you will connect the last stitch to the first with a slip stitch.

  2. You put all the stitches in the same chain space.  It will seem like it's getting crowded, but it will also form a circle.  Make sure you count your stitches as you do them.  When you have done nine, join it to the first stitch with a slip stitch.

On the next row, you put 2 hdc in each stitch all the way around (again, make sure you count your stitches) and you join the round with a slip stitch.
