Any dermatologists here or anyone who knows about Doryx (Doxycyclone) 100 mg tablets?

I have mild acne, like one or two pimples here and there from week to week. I was recommended Doryx pills, but I am hesitant in starting the use of them. I've heard it can be bad to take antibiotics because as soon as you stop your acne just comes back. In addition some bad side effects. Basically I was wondering if anyone would recommend the use or should I just not use it????

  1. It is not bad to take antibiotics unless you are taking them for everything. It is bad because it kinda damages your stomach flora, but if it is a really strong antibiotic. I believe you are supposed to take that once daily. My sister took this and she saw great great results. He acne went away completely. I recommend you take ACTIVIA every day You can find this anywhere in grocery stores or Probiotic pills Over the counter at any pharmacy. It regulates your stomach flora. I know doctors don't tell you this but I had a few european doctors that told me to take probiotics but not not only one as the bottle directs you to. You can take 2-3 a day while you are on antibiotics. You can consult this with your doctor and I am sure they will know about this They just never mention it ( don't know why ) But Doryx WORKS!!

I recommend you take vitamins too meanwhile but trust me antibiotics are not as bad as you think if accompanied with vitamins and Probiotics. Check again with your doctor!! Hope you feel better and you are soon free of Acne!!

  2. Do consult a dermatologist and take proper advice.

  3. hello,

this seems that ur very care full abt ur health thats good to follow. but to getrid of the acne u can use that. bcz even though the medication is an antibiotic the concentration is set and is standardized so there is no harm in using it.
