Any different in the content of petrol fuel with so many different company out there?

There is little difference from one refining plant to the next.  Same regulated formula.  Despite the advertisements.  Not much differance what refinery it comes from.  So brand loyalty in Gas is like brand loyalty to Milk.  With milk there is more of a differance. (not much)

Not much difference.

Petroleum is refined very much the same way, regardless of which company is doing it.

They do it for one good reason: COMPATIBILITY.

Customers should be able to switch fuel brands without risking any engine damage due to different fuel mixtures.

At least in India in the early days, the various companies selling petrol got into a joint agreement by which they minimized transportation costs by having a refinery in a particular zone supplying petrol to all the outlets in that zone irrespective of brand.

It was common to buy X brand of petrol at one place, actually made by Y and vice versa elsewhere.

Everything was a book adjustment.
