I don't play any sports. The only physical activity I get is work. (pizza place running around on my feet alot). Im not over weight. But for a month or so i have been having ankle problems.

They feel very sore and very stiff. They feel like they just want to stay in the straight position. When ever I use any sudden movements with my feet I feel a very sharp pain. I drive a clutch and one day i couldnt drive for an hour because it hurt to use the clutch pedal.

Thought it would just go away but hasn't. I cant run and i have to move slow. Any ideas on how to fix this before trying a doctor?

  1. Ice and epsom salt soaks.  You can also take ibuprofen for swelling.  If this doesn't help, you need to go to the ortho.

  2. Have you had any falls on your ankle? That could of twisted it and damaged the ligaments or tendons.

It sounds like ligament or tendon damage to your ankle, the only real cure for that is rest. Try use it only when needed and dont do any sport or activites that include moving fast. If you go to your doctor he will probobly refer you to a physiotherapist for treatment, but their is only so much they can do.
