  1. sounds like a goiter(lump in neck) which is from hypothyroidism, go to an endocrinologist, they will help you, regular Dr's brush it off ,don't give all blood tests needed. i know i have been there and the endo dr was the ONLY one who finally helped me.

  2. ok ask your doctor for TSH blood work this test will give you a answer then if your levels are high or low there is meds. for thyroid. now there is other illness that have a lot of the same signs etc;.diabetes, lupus, some medicines. doctors don't like you telling them what it is so if you say some thing like "i know your the doc however can we just do this test TSH and rule it  in or out it would make me feel so much better".

  3. Hi there,

The only way to find out if you have hypothyroidism is to go to your family doctor and ask to have your thyroid function tested. This is a simple blood test and if you have the disease you can be treated easily with thyroxine.

    Hope this helps.
