Any documents need to show while sending a bike via train from one state to another?. if so what all required?.

If you are sending the vehicle by train, you need to submit a photocopy of the Registration Certificate (RC), Photocopy of Valid Insurance Certificate, Pollution certificate (not required for some cases).

You need to mention who shall receive the vehicle at the destination.

You have 2 options

1. If you are not accompanying the bike in the same train, you need to send the receipts to the person who shall take posession of the bike at destination.

2. If you are also travelling by the same train, dont forget to mention that in the luggage booking form. Once you reach destination by waiting for another 1 hr. you can take posession of the bike.

Points to be considered for sending bikes by train

1. Ensure that there is no fuel in the vehicle ( railways wont permit vehicles with fuel)

2. Inspite of self packing ( at the corners, on windshield and seats) you need to pay some amount to the collie, to ensure good position of vehicle in the goods compartment.

3. Try to be present at the station at the time of loading and unloading of the bike.
