  1. There is Surah Tabarakalladhi Baidihil Mulk in the Qur'ãn.

This Surah Mulk should be recited every night before going to bed.

The reciter and riciting for a deceased, saves from tribulations of the grave and secures entry into Jannat.

    Surah Yaseen for the deceased.

"Whosoever reads the heart of the Qur'ãn -'Yaseen' will receive the sawaab of reading 10 Qur'ãns." (Tirmidhi)

To visit graves Friday, Saturday, Monday and Thursday are excellent.

It is said the dead recognizes those who visit the graves on Thursday and Friday.

  2. Whatever are duas?

  3. Try here: http://www.duas.8m.com/

  4. To pray for the dead helps them, although Sylvia Brown the medium says otherwise.

  5. You can recite or utter the dua for any deceased person from wherever you are. It is best recited/uttered after your daily prayers (when you're still in a state of ablution and still facing Baitullah at Masjidilharam in Mecca).

Duas must be willingly recited or uttered with a very sincere intention (niat). Duas can be uttered in your own mother tounge, preferably begin with the recital of the first surah - Al Fatihah...

Of course there are other specific conditions for your dua to benefit the deceased person it is intended for (e.g. for your deceased parent(s), next of kin, friends, teachers, leaders, etc).
