I'm with Gerry G - the only martini is a gin martini.  Very dry - just let it see the vermouth.

the better the gin, the better the martini - my fav is Bombay Sapphire - yum.

I've had flavored martini's before (chocolate, etc), but that's just wrong!

Make a real Martini.  That is Gin, not vodka,  poured over some ice with just a whisper of Dry Vermouth.  Then, either serve on the rocks or strain into an up glass and garnish with a nice stuffed olive.

Try an Apple Martini. Those are good. It's just vodka with the green martini mix. It tells you on the container how much to put of each.

my favorit is a DIRTY MARTINI.... vodka, dry vermoth, olive juice !!! ( or corse, a few olives too)
