Any exceptions to being married at 19 and being able to drink on a cruise?

I'm 19 and the guy I am marrying is 21 are there any exceptions to where I could drink on the cruise ship too?

You can always get drinks delivered to your room. Also, even if you get drinks at a bar he can order them for the both of you. If you are paranoid you can take them back to your room or onto a deck and sit under the stars. They won't actually serve the drinks to you because your cruise card they scan will show your age, but as long as he is buying you shouldn't have a problem. I went on a cruise right before my 21st birthday and my sister bought me drinks without any problem. No one ever cards you on the ship. Also, you can drink when you are at other ports of call.

In most countries the drinking age is 18 or lower. Check with the cruise company to see what the drinking age on that particular cruise is.

If you're on international waters, you should be able to drink as much as you want if you're over 18. I know that is Royal Caribbean's policy, anyway. You won't be able to drink when you're at port in the US, but that's it.

For all ships leaving from US waters, the drinking age is 21.  The bartender will check your ID - the keycard assigned to you which will be a different color than your 21 year old hubbie - and will not serve you even if your hubbie bought the drink.  If caught drinking under 21, the both of you may be put off the ship at the closest port and have to find your own way home.  No refund.

My 16 year old niece was ordering drinks in the casino and had no problem which surprised me.  They seem to be pretty lax. about this on the ships that we have been on.

officially.. no. and cruise lines are cracking down HARD on this issue as well.  Your sign and sail card/pass will be coded with your age and you will be refused service.
