Any experience related to cubes versus open floor plan in a business setting?

My UK based company is considering eliminating the corridors of cubes in the US office. Staff includes call center, engineering, administration. Any ideas on this? Thanks!

  1. without the cubes, it is harder to surf (e-mail,p**n,nap,whatever)
