I have a newborn and get very little sleep because I worry too much that he will stop breathing. Someone on here suggested the angelcare monitor. It says that your crib mattress must be on a hard flat surface but mine is on springs. They say you can use a board, how does this work, anyone have one and had to use a board. Just want to make sure if I get it that it will work properly.

  1. I am pretty sure my baby mattress is on springs too.  I personally prefer the Babysense V - Infant Movement Monitor. I tired the angelcare and had problems with it alarming. The Babysense V - Infant Movement Monitor has gone off once in the 3 months I have had it.

It has really helped ease my mind and I am a completely different person now that I can get some sleep.

  2. I didn't have to use a board, but i do have the monitor and it helped me sleep better. i got it when my daughter started to roll over and i couldn't keep her on her back anymore. I'm sure putting it on a board would work. just put the board on the springs and then the monitor pad on top of that.
