  1. It never rains in Southern California.  but when it does it means snow in Berdoo and riverside countys and that the mountain resorts are probably open and running.  Make sure you check with the resort before you go up to be sure its not raining up there as well.  A call to the CHP is usually in order to make sure you can get there and to see whether you need your chains or not.  Have fun!!!

  2. I was up at Snow Summit at my place last weekend and it was crowded, Record crowd! Skiing was good and plenty of snow pack. If you like obstacle skiing it was great trying to ski through the skiers.

They started making snow on Thanksgiving day which provided a great base. I had about a foot of natural snow in front of my place with about 2 inches of ice underneath.

They are supposed to get 12-15 inches in the next couple of days. Just be careful of black ice on the way up.

I would advise using 38 to go up. It is much safer but there is till ice in spots.

  3. Hmm... its pretty d**n cold here in the east but no snow.....
