Any ferret owners have the Feisty Ferret cage?

Question

I just got my cage today and so far I really like it! I was just kind of wondering tho what is the point of the hole in the 2 platforms? I'm assuming That they are for food dishes? But I also kind of though that if they were for food dishes then why don't they give you dishes with it, because it will be very hard to find dishes to fit that hole! Anyways, if anyone used these holes for a better idea, let me know!

my ferrets use the holes as a play tunnel thing...there food is in a dish on the floor...but yeah you can buy special dishes for it

The holes in the plat form are for the ladder to be attached to so they can get up to the next level. This way the ferret can go through the hole.
