Any football tips for a Linebacker/ Offensive Lineman?

I'm an Offensive Lineman (Right Tackle), and an Outside Linebacker (either side). Anyone have any tips for me? I'm not very big...5'7", 143 pounds. But I've been playing Lineman since 1st grade (i'm in 10th now), so I'm confident I can drive back most people. I've only been playing Linebacker since last year. I really want to be a starter for Linebacker this year...

  1. Stay low, take on O-linemen with your hands, and make sure its a violent hit. Those big boys don't go down easy. When you tackle, work to get squared up, and keep your feet driving. Another tip, watch the feet! If the O-linemen have their weight on their fingers with their heels up, it's a run. If they're more balanced with their heels down, it's either a pass, or they're pulling. And if you're a middle or inside linebacker, remember that intensity and aggressiveness is key. A good linebacker keeps himself and his teammates pumped at all times.
