Any fully qualified journalists out there?

Are you happy with your job? Is it as glamorous a trade as it is made out to be? What are best/worst parts of the job?

Your answers would be much appreciated!

I am.

And the job is not glamorous at all.

The worst parts of the job are being away from your friends and family, and not being able to commit to anything in the future because you do not know where you will be or what you might be working on in the future.

The best parts are helping people and having as much adventure as you desire in your life.

Being a journalist is more like adopting a lifestyle than a job.  You live journalism and are in the forefront of problems facing ordinary people.

that is an oxymoron .Why would a qualified person become a journalist ?

  I think they are held in the same high regard as estate agents , politicians  & traffic wardens .
