I was looking at website and they had some really cheap things to do  at home with little kids and teens -  like ice sliding. Sound good to me it's 101 here.

Based on your personal tastes and budget try beaching which is always a typical winner or attend a summer/fall jazz festival event.  Check out places around the US/Europe/Middle East for beaching like Hilton Head, SC (my favorite) or Venice, Italy and for a jazz fest in Atlanta, GA; Detroit, MI or try Dubai or Switzerland.
