Any good Do It Yourself websites for remodeling a house?

My family is currently working on renovating a house we just bought. We proclaimed the house unlivable. The old owners of the house trashed up the house very badly. We found out that hiring people to do some things can be very expensive. So, we're thinking of fixing some things by ourselves, except we don't know how. We want to refinish the wood, redo all of the floors, paint the walls, and lots of other stuff.

Do you know any good website that will explain how to do these things?
