I'm a reporter, any ideas for a good article?

I am also a reporter...I have to come up with ideas, too.

Some good ones are the ones that have stirred controversy - check with your local community board (or if you have an equivalency) and ask the chairman what the big issues are in the community.

features are always fun, too. check out events at your library and do a story on the different programs available to kids now that school is back in session.

You can also do a profile - interview a local politician who grew up in your neighborhood  and ask them how it has changed over the years...

No. 1: read your local newspaper(s).

No. 2: look at the big TV news channels and the Web site.

No. 3: think of anything going on in your community that may be important and may need more light shed on it (someone that isn't getting paid for something they did, a family in need)

Also try covering an event in your community.
