  1. That question is a little complicated to answer here.....Check out some poker strategy books.  There are just too many variables playing one on one to give you a single answer.  A lot of it depends on your opponents skill level as well.  Does he know when to raise?  reraise?  what are his folding habits, etc.  Get on Pokerstars.net and practice as well.

  2. Unless the blinds are high, I say fold, fold, fold, fold, fold.  Only the most disciplined players will be able to stop themselves from raising you out of the hands and continualy stealing the blinds.  Then when you have a winner, you can double up easy.

  3. you are just gonna have to read up on poker strategies. learn when to fold, bluff, and learn to read ppl. the more experience the better off you are. maybe start out at a table and then move to 1 on 1. plus a lot of it will be luck. if you get the cards you get the cards, if you dont, well tough luck.

  4. fake a tell ... and show your cards often show when you bluff a few times then when you have a good hand you can pop them for a lot....

  5. well, there are lots of strategies that could help you win in hold'em. what to do in your situation depends on your hand. i think the following infirmation can be helpful for you http://www.top-poker-rooms.com/texas-hol...

  6. yeah practice

  7. never show your cards, better off not knowing what you have ever...be the aggressor, i usually always raise my button with decent cards, because post flop the actions on them, if they check, i usually bet out to see where im at, miss or hit. Once you get a feel for how they play back at you, you adjust your game right there. if they wanna be the aggressor back at me, ill slow it down and let the cards play a little bit more.

  8. Do you mean heads up?

If yes, play aggressively and push with any pair, any Ace.

Get a read on your opponent and play against that read.  If they're tight be super aggressive and chip em down.  If they're loose, play tight and patient and lure em in when you do get a hand.
