Sorry for reposting, I prefer more realistic anime's without giant swords and super skills and blasts etc. that'll keep me excited. and no romances either >:O

Would appreciate it if you mention what it's about.

  1. Steel Angel Kurumi, Three s**y girl angels in funny adventures.

  2. seriously u prefer more realistic anime's without giant swords and super skills and blasts etc realy almost every anime has at least the tinyest parts of all that!

    seriously ur...gawd.....realy...sheesh..jez.....im soory 4 u

  3. well samurai x is my fav... it has abit of romance and a lot of fighting but i think it may help also naruto is cool

  4. Ghost in the Shell is pretty good and I love Akira.

Also, Try FullMetal Alchemist (Although one character is a giant suite of armor, but you'll understand why)  it has an ending that kind of sideswipes you.

Also, I don't think it's really well known Anime, but try "Air"  you MIGHT have to search it under "AirTV"

Another Anime that is just beautiful and sideswipes you at the end.

And good luck getting a hold of it (Although NetFlix DOES have it), find Area88 the original version not the television series.  It's about a guy who gets tricked into signing up for a mercenary army by his jealous friend who wants to steal his fiance, it's an awesome movie, and the television series is good, but I'd suggest watching the movie first.

[Sidenote: if you've ever played UN Squadron on SNES, the game is based off that movie :) /geek-out]

    Good Luck!

(Also, can't forget Shin-Chan as an honorable mention...but it's quite crude so yeah that's up to you)

  5. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

  6. Naruto is my favorite but why watch something thats realistic?

  7. Anything with Hayao Miyazaki. Also check out Tokyo Godfathers if you want something refreshingly different.

EDIT: Thanks, Wendy! And I agree with Samurai Champloo! Great series! Too fun!

    :)

  8. I second Shake'em's answer and also I'd like to add Samurai Champloo! Little to no romance there, it's sort of historical Japan, but with liberties taken and occational clever references to modern society.  It is so d**n good. It's just stylish and complex but fun and not stuck up. Nice art style too.

  9. Prince of tennis. It's really good and it has over 178 episodes and the National Championships that are still going on (It should have about 200 episodes or a little more when it's finished.) This anime was ranked #5 in Japan's most popular anime.

Here's a little summary of the story:

"Echizen Ryoma just joined the Seishun Gakuen Middle School tennis team, which is known for being one of the most competitive teams in Japan. Ryoma has proven his skills by winning four straight American junior tournament titles. With his skills, Ryoma challenges a rule of Seishun Gakuen that freshmen don't represent the team to play in tournaments until summer."

There isn't romance in it.. Not even a tad! And it's pretty much realistic, since many of the moves they show on the anime can be made on a real tennis court. But anime is anime, so maybe some moves are exagerated, but still are realistic.

You can watch it on www.veoh.com or www.youtube.com, but the quality of veoh is WAY better (I'm sure you alreay know that since you are obviously an huge anime fan ;D)

    Hope I've helped!

  10. aquarion is pretty extreme

or d.n. angel :D...maybe not that one it has a tad of romance

or bleach :D they have really big swords

and fight large giant spirit things :D

or buso renkin another kind of sword fighting anime :D

    hope i helped :D

    :]
