I'll be going to Arizona for vacation to see the Grand Canyon in a few weeks. The hotel is in Flagstaff and I'd like to know what are some attractions, shops and good places to dine at in the Flagstaff area?

  1. Good answer lazymo.

A couple things would be useful in determining things you could do, I mean the local things like lazymo suggested.

    Do you have transportation?

How long will you be visiting the area?

    Traveling alone?  With children?

This link has a list of things you might consider while you're in the area:

  2. Garcia's is the only good place to eat. Not much to do in that town.

  3. Downtown Flagstaff is where you want to go, shops and dining.  Next to and north of the railroad station and visitors center in the middle of the city.  Snowbowl has a ski lift, Wupatki Indian ruins, the drive on Hwy 89A to Oak Creek, Cameron Trading Post on N Hwy 89, Museum of Northern AZ, Lowell Observatory, Walnut Canyon, take a walk at Buffalo Park.  Good travels..

  4. Lots of places in Flagg to dine and do, especially in the evening after a long day at the canyon.  Not far from Sedona and Oak Creek.  Also a nice scenic ride on a ski chair lift at Snow Bowl ski resort ck that out.
