Any good book recommendation sites?

Anyone know of any book recommendation sites comparable to Amazon.com or to Last.fm for music? Shelfari seems like they could do it, but they don't have the feature yet.

Also, a book rating site similar to IMDB would be very useful. Currently, Amazon.com is the best source I've found for book ratings from large numbers of people.

For me, I can't afford buying a book, so I'll just stick on the pdf (adobe) that is available in the internet... I download some at Esnips.com, or in limewire, or search for free downloadable books..
