Any good books based in Japan/Korea?

I really enjoy reading romance, drama, comedy, and thrillers. I'm looking for a book based in Japan/Korea. No manga please. (;

Any recommendations?

umm there is a good book but it takes place in China but its a really good kinda short book to read. An Ocean Apart, A World Away
