ex: blush, eyestuff, powder foundation, concealer( espicially concealer!)

I can never really decide what products are good and such. I end up getting crappy makeup all the time!

That is why I go to sephora but I cant spend alot of money on makeup.

so please suggest any drugstore makeup you have that you really love.

  1. omgoshh im in the exact same position as you. i was gonna get loreal bare naturale powder. then i changed my mind to physicians formula mineral wear. then tinted moisturizer. but now i think i might get physicians formula. i havent been able to decide all summer!

anyway yahh i kno whatchu mean. i dont want to waste a lot of money on something that will make me break out or make my face oily. but the thing is everyones diff so you cant go by ppls opinions. thats why everyone says diff things about stuff. thats the other reason why i havent been able to decide.

i have the body shop concealer its really good.

    and victorias secret lipglosses

    great lash, lancome, loreal mascaras

    eyeliner from annabelle.

    :)

  2. I'm in high school too so I know what you mean about the money!

I love Maybelline eyeshadow quads! You get 4 and the pigmentation is really good for a drugstore brand.

Also I like HIP cream liners as well as their duos, but it's a bit pricier than a lot of other drug store brands.

Lash Blast from Cover Girl works really well for most people.

Foundation I don't really wear.. but I wouldn't get a drug store brand because it's not the same coverage. I've heard some good things about the Almay foundations though!

Blush I like either Covergirl, Neutragena, or Maybelline.

Concealer I HATE drug store concealers. Usually they don't conceal anything. So I'd stick with a high end one just for the coverage

  3. For higher quality I would suggest L'Oreal. Their mineral foundation is awesome. And the HIP line (High Intensity Pigments) has some really need glosses and shadows.

I also love the CG Lash Blast in the orange tube. It works really well. Just put on a couple swipes and your lashes are super full.

Max Factor is pretty decent too. I like their shadows and liners.

And if you need a cheap eye liner or whatever Rimmel (wal-mart) is okay for a cheapo brand. It's slightly more expensive than NYC or Wet 'N Wild but the quality is a lot better. I have a couple eye liners and glosses from them and they work pretty well.

Just remember that the makeup that covers the most area on your face should be of the highest quality. Don't cheap out on foundation or concealer or you'll pay for it later. You could break out or the makeup may only last an hour. And if you want a bright, perfect color of something (like a bight purple eyeshadow or bright red lipstick) buy a higher quality brand or it could turn a funky color after you wear it for a while. Also, cheapo shadows and lipsticks/glosses fade a lot faster than the better quality brands. And the cheapo ones sometimes don't match the color they appear to be. If possible, test the make up on your hand.

    Hope this helped!

  4. I tend to gravitate towards the brighter looks, but NYX is a really awesome brand (and cruelty free!). They have trio eyeshadows and individual ones. They have lots of great colors that come out really vibrant, especially if applied wet. http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/

I'd also reccommend CoverGirl Eye Enhancers, I've only tried a few of those colors but they come out really nicely, and are very inexpensive. http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc...

And of course, there's NYC. It's not the best, but the lipsticks and eye pencils do their job...and it's only $1!

  5. hmmmm..

as for powder foundation go for revlon colorstay.... it is of a great quality... long-lasting and it won't harm your skin.... since it's mineral... or you can try covergirl trublend but some say it sucks.. i don't know...

concealer --> try revlon under eye concealer... i haven't tried it,, but couple of my friends say it works great..

    blush --> covergirl

mascara --> covergirl lashblast waterproof (green stripes) and maybelline greatlash (in black --> waterproof) or maybelline define-a-lash (recommended by most magazines)

eyeliner --> revlon colorstay retractable eyeliner or almay retractable eyeliner.... they work just perfecttttttttttttttt!!! they just don't smudge and long-lasting... revlon is better thou... oh and for a cheaper price,, try maybelline define-a-line.. a little smudgy.. but still great....

eyeshadow --> i tend not to use really 'branded' one... i'm dependent on eye base which will take care of my healthy skin.... in case those cheap eyeshadows contain harmful formula... i love to experiment with colorsss so that's why cheap eyeshadows are my saviors... haha... if you wanna a high-pigmented one.. try revlon colorstay quad... you can just use them together... without trying to mixandmatch one and another..... cheaper products will be maybelline and covergirl... ^^

    hope this helps...

  6. The best cheap stuff is probably at Wal mart, that is where I used to go for all of my cheapie stuff. But the problem is, when you use cheap makeup it runs out a lot faster and so you have to replace it more often. Maybe save up and try some MAC? They last so very long- I got a studio fix compact (it is powder and foundation in one) and it lasts close to a year with every day use. Eyeliners I still get at Wal mart since I use it so much, but besides that I really, REALLY suggest you try MAC. like, if you turn in the plastic containers when you are done you get 1 free lipstick (awesome, I might add) when you return 6.

  7. Neutrogena makes the best foundation for teenagers. It's a couple dollars more than CoverGirl (which is wretched on your skin) or Maybelline, but it's a lot less than you'll pay at Sephora. Loreal makes really nice eye shadows, liners and mascara. Revlon still makes the best of the drug store lipsticks because they hold their color better and don't tend to bleed into the corners of your mouth like others do (with or without liner)

  9. cover girl maybelline and L'Oreal HIP AND MARK BY AVON BUT U HAVE TO ORDER THAT THREW AVON

  10. cover girl lash blast mascara!! in orange tube

    Thats like the best
