  1. Well, Berlin has TONS of pubs, bars, discos, clubs, etc...

In nearly every corner, you surely might find something.   I don't know what excactly you're looking for, but you don't need to search too long to find a good place to stay at.

    Greetings from Germany!!

  2. There is more than one Hilton in Berlin. The Hilton on Mohrenstrasse has a Trader Vic's bar that is good for the after work happy hour crowd. Just outside the hotel, and next street over Kronenstrasse(strasse is German for street) you should also find bars, clubs, and restuarants. Berlin does not exactly have a city center like New York City, but several 'centers' that make up Berlin, Kruezberg for example. English is widely spoken in Berlin. Potsdammer Platz is tourist city. The 'KuDam'(Sp?) is Berlin's main shopping area and where the bombed out church memorial is located(good for a photo of your visit to Berlin because the Wall is basically gone....) Anyway if you want to meet the ladies and you are not a 'Lounge Lizard Larry' type, here are my tried and successful tips; Ask the Bartender at your hotel; Play the 'Tourist' on the street and ask a woman where a good place to eat or have a coffee is located(helps to be holding a map of some sort - make sure it is Berlin(don't ask about that experience, very embarassing)); Go on one of the many tours offered in the city - the Reichtag(Capitol building of Berlin, Germany) is interesting and I met a few ladies from Poland. *smile*

Have a good trip and Good Luck!

P.S. Schwartz Cafe near Savignon Platz(SP??) is a cafe bar&restuarant open 24 hours and has a nice friendly staff(for Germany anyway) and can be interesting crowd wise depending on the time of day.......

  3. There is a great Cuban Restaraunt owned by real Cubans outside the S-Bahn station Karlshorst.  In reponse to the local women scene.  Contrary to popular belief German woman do not throw themselves at foreigners.  In reality German women tend to keep to themselves and do not engage in conversation unless spoken to.  One advantage is that right away they will tell you if they are in a relationship or not.  Anyways there are also some really nice clubs in Berlin if you are into that sort of thing.  Tresor, Sage Club, Sky Club, Dirkenstrasse 98,  Cafe Noskau,  G2 Club, etc.  Oranienburger Str. is a nice section that is pretty hopping on the weekends and at nights.  Avoid a lot of the restaraunts located near Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburger Tor, a lot of them are overpriced tourist traps.  Ku'Dam is a nice area to shop in.  Hope this helps a little bit.
