  1. hey i wouldnt bring candy/chocolate..i hate to say it but our chocolate is of a way higher standard than what you guys have in america so it doesn taste nice for us..my american roomie used to bring it home for 6 of us all the time and she ended up eating it because we wouldnt go near it!

Something traditional from your area would be nice..maple syrup sounds good..or how about a little statue or something..my friend from Boston brought me one of those ships that landed first in America..cant remember the name of them! And she sent my family Boston Red Sox teeshirts..something unique to your area is always a good way to go!

  2. Maple sugar candy seems like a good choice - maybe Sponge candy too - if they make in your area.  Dove chocolate pices might be nice too.

I saw a poster once where someone made a few sentences using the wrappers from various chocolate bars...if you are creative, look at the candy selection and see if something comes to mind  -  make it personal and specific to your friends

  3. I saw a bottle of maple syrup in a store in Lake City(Seattle), Washington the size and shape of a half pint of whisky and itz name was Northern Comfort(as opposed 2 Southern Comfort). I wanna get my hippie mother a bottle!!

  4. I send my uncle (who lives in Ireland) Tastykakes.

  5. Baraboo candy company. Baraboo Wisconsin,53913 home of the cow pies

  6. LOL Personally I think you need to introduce them to real catsup. The stuff they have is awful.

How about a book of American tall tales? Or American ghost stories?

What about a baseball cap from your hometown team?

Or a dream catcher? Explain the Native American myth behind it.

  7. We like to receive Stove Top stuffing...they make some really scrumptious stuffing and there is nothing like that here (unless you make your own)

there is only one chocolate that we like from US, and that is the peanut butter chocolate candy I think made by Reeces (sp?)...they come in little foil cups and are terribly sweet

We Like peanut caramel brittle as well

    Cheers

  8. Yeah i agree with Loulou- definitly don't bring chocolate- ours is so much nicer

  9. There's a Texas company that makes a mean Pecan pie.  I  believe they ship, as well.  (Don't recall the name, you'd have to do a search)

  10. No chocolates, please, we do not have the best chocolate in the world. We just like to think so. I would bring a local souvenir , a T shirt with symbols of your state or a great photo book with USA photos.

  11. Cajun peanuts in the shell

  12. Kentucky whiskey.. New York Yankee's cap

  13. My friends in Dublin always ask me to bring good tequila. They can't get it there. Herradura is what they crave.
