Any good hotels in co carlow?

Question

i plan on bringing my boyfriend there for his birthday as a surprise so its pretty much up to me that i get a decent enough spot where we will be near the town. i dont wana be in the middle of nowhere, i already tried the talbot and they dont have any rooms available for the time he can go so a nice hotel with good pub, good music good atmosphere, sumwhere in the town or beside the town i want it to be fun not boring
