Im taking this class on renewable energy, and everything I have learned is incredibly interesting. However, I have been assigned to create an informational claymation video on something to do with energy. It could be an anti oil pro solar video, or just a video on renewable energy in general. However I need to keep it simple, for not only is this my first time creating an educational video, but this is also my first attempt at clay animation. This video needs to be both educational, and entertaining, so I am hoping to add some humor into the mix. I need some help. Any ideas????

  1. you could show the sun, made of clay, and the rays dripping down into a lamp, then the lamp turning into a book that a kid is reading... then you could have the book turn into shredded paper then into a paper sack, then the sack tearing up to eventually form into the wrapper for a cheese burger or something... then you could show the cheese burger being eaten by a guy in a car, then show the car getting plugged in at night instead of being filled with gas, then you could show the sun again and the process starting all over while your credits roll.

hehe sorry if that doesn't help much, i'm not sure how the recycling thing will make any difference, but maybe it's a start?  haha  good luck with your project!!!

  2. show a bunch of republicans in an oil corp meeting hall, made of gold and money, facial expressions reminicant of mr. bill, haha, then have the world get smooshed and everyone die.

then flash to a world of concequence free renewable energy, greenery wind, solar, hydroelectric, and organic farms. show people driving and kids watching movies.

and tell how easy it is to accomplish.

should help get the point across.

    =D

    ps. need any bio-diesel?

  4. You could show a corporate meeting of oil producers on a floating oasis in a flooded city Waterworld-style, and the technology in their meeting (equipment, lights, computers etc.) are powered by solar panels. And the graph of the oil prices going up by the minute and the presenter is confused and going like "Oh, and the price just went up". And at the end of the meeting all of the frustrated corporate bigwigs are like "s***w oil, gotta turn to the Sun before it's too late". Would also make for some good humor.

  5. You could educate people that wind doesn't always blow and the sun only gives usable sunlight about 5-8 hours a day in the best places.  We still need a way to store & use energy on demand in the form of oil, coal, natural gas or nuclear to have 24 hour power.  Something about working together for 24 hour power.

Oil provides more than power it also goes into almost every piece of plastic within your reach 24 hours a day.
