  1. Hike through the rainforest, there are many sights, and the trees will provide shade.

  2. I visited VN .I think u can read and believe in 3 last answers. Those are true.

VN is really safe and beautiful country but u could meet trouble with English of local people.

I u know tourist guide it 'd be wonderful. Luck//

  3. if you stay along the coast there are a thousand beaches to help you deal with the heat. my favorite spot, albiet not so chalenging is nha trang, from there you can do many things , head to the mts where you can be pretty much on your own or visit some pretty special tourest areas  where there are guides to take you around jungle streams[ ask any motor bike driver to take you to "suoi thien" or "ba ho"]. there is plenty more to do in nha trang, if you stay there a while you'll find most of it. the food there is great right in the tourest area but get a driver to take you to "lac canh".. thank me later.

if your realy adventureous take a train north past hue , about 4-6hrs into quang binh provence and go see dong pham nha caves. on the way to ha noi stop in nghe an provence and get someone to take you around the countyside there ... you'll think you were in heaven. i understand the beach near vinh is nice; i haven't been. ha noi , the old town is ok and everyone goes to sapa from there but for something a little diffrent try mai chau valley and or the "pink pagoda"[ chua hong] esspecially if you are there around easter time. the nicest climate is in da lat.. but its not the friendlyest town... heck i could go on forever.. just follow your nose and dont be afraid to explore the back alleys of sai gon... tell them ong jon sent you... di choi vui ve nghe.

  4. Vietnam is very safe, very beautiful, and affordable. I recommend the place highly. The north is where I like to go. Hanoi is a great city, but lacks any night life.

Ha Long Bay is place to go though. The floating villages and all those Islands make it one of the natural wonders of the world.

The are so many hidden gems, great beaches and natural beauty that having most things close down early by our standards is not a problem. Just adjust your time to their time and enjoy shy but friendly people and the culture.

I find Vietnam easier the travel than the surrounding Countries like China, Cambodia and Laos

  5. becareful

  6. Look for my fellow fallen soldiers

  7. fartman...go away..your giving the vietnamese a bad name....shoo...

anyway...why dont you search for hott viet chicks...take a mans word for it.... XD

  8. Dear friend,

I think the below answer from a traveler who visited Vietnam recently may give you some good ideas initially.

    Here's some quick highlights

Hanoi - Scooters all over the place and traffic is controlled chaos. Huan Kiem Lake is the center of the city and the place to be. Pictures on post cards don't do justice to the beauty of the lake.

Ha Long Bay - Thousands of rock islands that make you think they go forever. One of the most ebautiful places that I have ever seen. Staying on Cat Ba Island is a must. It will soon be a major resort.

Hue - Ancient capital of Vietnam. Visiting the temples was wonderful. Take one of the boats on the river and listen to the beautiful women sing Vietnamese folk songs. You will fall in love with the women in an instant.

Vien City - Very modern city that looks bigger than it actually is. They love Ho Chi Minh there. Don't go there if you can't stand the communist propoganda.

Saigon - Looks like Downtown Irvine, California. Most of the city is very new. Place is lit up like Las Vegas. Definately a great spot for Americans to visit because they LOVE them there.

Cu Chi - VC tunnels about 60 kn outside of Saigon. The 40 minute communist propoganda film is stupid. The tunnels are very interesting. Tour guides tend not to mention the dozens of bomb craters around the compound that have propbably killed thousands of VC crawling in thetunnels below.
