Any good inexpensive hotels near Holiday World?

We are planning to go to Holiday World over the weekend, but we're finding that hotels are quite expensive there. Does anyone know of nearby hotels that are affordable. I'm not familiar enough with Santa Claus, IN .....

The ones in Santa Claus are VERY expensive. Jasper,IN  has some nice hotels heres a few: Jasper Inn, the Holiday Inn, Days Inn, and a Holiday Inn Express. I haven't been to the Jasper Holiday Inn, but have only heard good things about it! Plus I'm pretty sure most Jasper hotels offer discount cupons for HW tickets. There aren't any hotels right around Holiday World (at least, not that I know of).

You might want to stay in Dale, IN -- it's about 6 miles NW of Santa Claus.
