Question:

Any good lunch ideas?

Okay, so my high school cafeteria food is disgusting. So, I'm packing my lunch this year, but I'm not very fond of regular sandwiches.

Is there anything easy and quick that I can make the night before (preferably) or the morning of school?

I'm pretty open to ideas and most foods, but I don't like bologna, so try not to include that please! What I usually took last year were pizza rolls (but they were cold by the time I had lunch), I would cook a hot dog, put it in a bag, then put a bun in another bag and just get mustard from school. Just simple things like that, but I got sick of that stuff.

So any ideas? 10 points to the best answer.

What I'm looking for in an answer is a food, and how to make it, and if they've tried it not not.

Thanks guys!!!

  1. You can make this Picadillo Taco mix a week in advance and just portion out your lunch each morning in a tupperware.

Brown/Drain 1lb ground beef. Add a diced potato and simmer in 1 cup of water with a tbsp each of salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder. I use garlic powder too, so if you don't scare away from garlic breath easily, throw in a tbsp for health and taste! Simmer on low heat until potatoes are soft. About 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Get a bag of flour tortillas and put 2 in a Ziploc and about a cup of the meat mixture in your Tupperware. You can take another Ziploc baggie with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. (I know, onion breath...so good for you tho!)
