Any good photo editing software?

What are some good photo editing software I could download? I want a program were I can enhance my photo,remove thing, turn the brightness down and up or anything like that.

GIMP is ok, but has one heck of a learning curve.  Same with free Blender: http://www.blender.org/download/get-blen...

I recommend GIMP, it has many features of Photoshop and costs nothing.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

A very good Photo-Editing software available is Adobe PhotoShop, but only a 30-day trial for PhotoShop is available for free. To try it out go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads

A free alternative to PhotoShop is GIMP. While it is as powerful as PhotoShop, it's a bit harder to use. If you can't get your head around it, check some tutorials on YouTube:
