  1. Not exactly in Guelph but not that far away is the Crossroads Restaurant. It is located just outside St Jacobs which is about a half hour drive from Guelph. It is a large buffet type venue owned and operated by the local Mennonites. The food is home cooked and is absolutely fabulous. And the desserts !!!. Dozens of fresh daily home made pies, cakes and puddings. All this and it's inexpensive as well. (No beer or liquor served here). If you go on Thursday or Saturday you can also enjoy the huge Farmers market/Flea market/Mennonite furniture outlet and cattle auction which is just 5 minutes from the restaurant. Enjoy

  2. I love Atmosphere Cafe. It is on Carden St in Guelph. This place is a really wonderful lounge/restaurant/cafe with an excellent menu and, well, atmosphere. The owners and staff (servers/DJ/chef) are second to none.

Carden St cafe is also great for dinners and The Cornerstone is a wonderful restaurant at Carden and Wyndam that serves vegetarian/vegan food.

The Rude Native (in the Quebece St Mall), and Babelfish Bistro (on Wyndam) are also good -  a bit pricier, though.

The Red Papaya (Gordon and Wellington) serves great Thai/Vietnamese food, too.

Soooo many good places in Guelph!

  3. The Rude Native is nice... International Fusion Food

recently opened in the downtown Old Quebec Street Mall.

  4. Depends on your definition of "good."  I like the Apollo - my MIL sent me there and recommended the trout.  It was amazing and very reasonably priced.

You can also search restaurants in Canada 411 website if you want something more specific.
