Any places to go besides the typical fireworks at the park... possibly a place with entertainment, food, and activities.

It could be any place in or around the greater houston area.

p.s. any place besides dave & busters.

  1. Hermann Park does spectacular fireworks, but beware (and don't join) the crazies parked on the freeway to watch! Find a safe place!

  2. Most of the parks and festivals are going to have fireworks for the 4th of July.  You could try the George Ranch which is a lot of fun.  It's a working ranch a couple of miles east of Brazos Bend State Park.  Here's the address, phone, and the website link:

    George Ranch Historical Park

    10215 FM 762

    Richmond, TX 77469

    281.343.0218 phone    281.343.9316 fax

    Have fun!

  3. no theres no place 2 go but u can go 2 the field the park any where its not rocket science duh

  4. We're driving to Granbury for the 4th weekend. It is about 30 miles southwest of Ft. Worth.

I wanted to do something different (aside from the Lakeside Country Club fireworks).

EDIT: I've been to George Ranch on 4th of July (1998, as I remember), and it was blazingly hot. We didn't stay for fireworks, but the ranch was fascinating. We wound up in Hermann Park watching the symphony.

  5. If you want a great fireworks show, food, fun and a free concert, try Faithbridge in Spring, TX.  You WILL NOT be disappointed!

  6. Drive down to Kemah and go see the boardwalk.  You will still be able to see the fireworks from two different places. There are several great restaurants..... Joe Lee's is one of my favorites.  You can watch the yachts and boats go in and out of the bay as well.

    Have a happy 4th !!
