From the last week in November to January you can go ice-skating at the open air rink at Somerset House if you pre-book. If you're going sooner and have limited funds there's usually some entertainment to be had for free in Leicester Square or Covent Garden but beware of pickpockets and keep your money safe.

Honestly, that's like walking into a huge forest and asking to see a tree.

Just head to the Leicester Square area in the evening and wing it from there, you can't fail to find a good place.
