Any good reads out there?

I love to read, but recently it seems I'm running out of books to read. I like books with romance, but recently I've been wanting something more friendship based. I like fantasy allot. Any amount of pages is fine. Series are great too. I like first person narration, but any narration style is fine.

I've read:

Twilight Saga

The Host

Wicked

Gemma Doyle trilogy

To Kill a Mockingbird

The Outsiders

Harry Potter

When I was younger I liked the Magic Tree House series.

Some books I'm planning on reading (due too suggestions from friends) are:

Pride and Prejudice

Wuthering Heights

Lovely Bones

  1. There is a series called "The Guardians of Time" Trilogy".  It's a narrative series as well - it's by Marianne Curly(sp? on author's name)

    The 1st - The Named, 2nd - The Dark, 3rd - The Key

It's a high school drama/scifi story and it's really good.

Hope you find some good books though.

  2. Try these:

    * "The Undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella

    * The "Lord of the Rings" trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkein

    * Anything by Ray Bradbury or Madeleine L'Engle

    * The short-story anthology series "Isaac Asimov's Magical Worlds of Fantasy," edited by Isaac Asimov, Martin H. Greenberg and Charles G. Waugh

  3. These are some really good books that I've read and thoroughly enjoyed:

-the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud*****

-the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer*

-The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen(any book by her)

-Hawksong(series) by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes(any book by her)

-The Shannara series by Terry Brooks*****

    -Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

    -Watership Down by Richard Adams

    -Great Expectations by Charles Dickens*

-Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter

-The Counte of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas*

-The Princess Bride by William Goldman*

    -Discworld series by Terry Pratchet*****

    -Battle Royale by Roushun Takami*****

-Angels and Demons by Dan Brown

*s are the ones I really REALLY recommend for anyone to read, and the ones with five *s are the best books I've ever read in my life!!!!

  4. Sounds like you just love fantasy/romance type of stories, like me! I am not sure if you tried it or not, but reading japanese comic books, or manga as they are widely known as, are actually very good things to read.

If you want to give it a try, I reccamend reading Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya and Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino.

You read these a little bit differently, starting from the very top right hand corner and then across. If you purchase these manga at a bookstore, it'll probably explain how to read it in the back of the book.

Now, if you want to stick to books, (which are awesome), here are some really good books that I love:

    Eragon by Christopher Paolini

    Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

The True Confessions of Charolette Doyle by Avi

Blue Bloods by Melissa De la Cruz (there is another is the series)

Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing

Dragon's Keep by Janet Lee Carey

    The Sight by David Clement-Davies

The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (there are some follow up to the series)

    Princess Academy by Shannon Hale

The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke

And here is a great website with a bunch of teen reads: http://www.teenreads.com/index.asp
