  1. My son loves the little individual cups of applesauce or puddings (I buy the sugar free pudding).  mac and cheese is one of his favorites along with pizza. I cut the pizza into small pieces. He likes fruit cut up into small pieces and yogurt for dipping.  but I think his absolute two favorites are chicken nuggets and peanut butter toast.

  3. Core an apple and stuff the inside with peanut butter. Top with raisins, nuts, sunflower seeds or toasted coconut. The filling will keep the cut apple from turning brown.

Cream cheese and jelly sandwiches, or spread bread with cream cheese and top with dried fruits like raisins, apples or apricots.

Mash a banana together with cream cheese and top with fresh apple, pineapple or peach slices.

Pack fresh fruit with yogurt dip.

Make fancy sandwiches by cutting shapes out of the bread with a cookie cutter (use the crusts and scraps to make breadcrumbs or croutons). Kids love the novelty and will be more likely to finish their lunch.

    And a few more suggestions:

    Pop-tarts (one of Dawn Lloyd's daughter's favorites)

    Individual servings of applesauce

Hot dog (already cut up and ready for dipping -- save fast food ketchup packs to send with their lunches)

    Tiny boxes of raisins

    String cheese

  4. If you cut the food stuffs (were possible into little sticks that should make meal times less messy.  Be careful not to unintentionally cut down his food choices over your concerns of making a mess.

My 5 year daughter has the broadest list of vegetables, fruits, meats and fish she likes.  That is because I gave them to her as soon as she could eat solid food.  She even likes very adult tastes like strong cheeses and olives.   It is very easy for a busy parent to without meaning to pass on one's own food dislikes...if both parents do that instantly you are creating a narrowing group  of foods your baby will eat.

Babies are supposed to be messy so lay some old sheets down and enjoy this time with your baby..they grow up so fast.

  5. Corn dogs

    pizza

    yogurt with fruit

    noodles
