  1. Grossi Florentino is a Melbourne icon, and has a great feel with friendly and knowledgable staff. There are a few different parts to the restaurant, from the really expensive, to the Bistro which still has really nice food.

Centonove, in Kew, has beautiful italian food also and great service. A good wine list and is receives regular good reviews.

  2. Donovan's House in St Kilda has an awesome atmosphere (think fireplace), fantastic food and great service.

Grossi Florentino has really good souffle! :)

Both has been awarded 2 hats, I think!

  3. Take a walk down Lygon Street and check out the restaurants there.

Yellow Pages, Good Food Guide, Information Service sometimes has brochures on restaurants.

  4. I love the European on Spring St.

Awesome food, great wine list, cool staff, and (especially at night) a fantastic atmosphere. I'd book though as it can be a ***** to get a seat otherwise.
