Is it possible to tell if the wheel is statistically bias ? Wouldn't that be a good roulette strategy ?

Roulette is completely random and long term, winning is almost impossible. Casinos change their wheels regularly so that you cannot detect bias easily. You would also have to log many hours of play at a particular wheel to detect a bias and I suspect that you would not be welcome as a long term spectator if you did not at least bet some of the time.

There are two casino games where the house has only a small edge and these are blackjack and craps. Blackjack is widely available in the UK but requires "perfect" play to minimise the house edge. Craps is not generally available in the UK but serious profits can be made by playing strategically.

Finally, if you could beat games like these would casinos still be in business ? Think about it !

This is actually the ONLY strategy that has any chance of working.

I saw a documentary about this.  A group of people got together and started monitoring what numbers came out on a roulette wheel.  They would then feed this information into a computer and the computer, running some software like the ad you posted, would spot any kind of bias that the wheel had.

Once they found a wheel that was biased, they would exploit that bias with a bunch of bets, and win a fortune.

Now here's the catch.  Casinos know all about this these days.  So any roulette wheel that has one of those electronic boards displaying the most recent numbers is hooked to a computer that monitors the wheel.  Any kind of bias is detected by the casino, long before you can possibly figure it out.

The other catch is, according to the documentary, it took about 10,000 spins to get any meaningful data.  Assuming one spin per minute, you'd have to watch a wheel for a week to get a meaningful data set.  And when I say a week, I mean 160+ hours.

In that time you have to hope that the casino doesn't choose to remove the wheel, or switch the metal and wood parts out, thus ruining your collected data.

At the end of the day, this is one betting strategy that could work.  But most casinos are far to sophisticated to fall for it.  Also, most people lack the time, patience and dedication necessary to pull it off.

ONLINE ROULETTE AND ROULETTE STRATEGY

The roulette is one of the greatest favorites of all times both in online casinos and offline casinos. The roulette comes in three major types - the European Roulette, the American Roulette and the French Roulette. Among these the American roulette is most common in the West and even in Europe .

The Roulette game is easy to understand and learn and with the right strategy you would end up winning more than loosing. Of course in online gambling a lot depend on luck as well; however, you will observe that luck is easier to court when you are armed with the right information.

The roulette here is played on a wheel with 38 compartments; these compartments are numbered 1 to 36 plus there are two other slots denominated as 0 and 00. You will find that the numbers are printed on the inside of the wheel on alternate black and red colors. The 0 and the 00 are the only numbers which would be found on green. There is a small ball within that wheel which would drop into any of the slots when the wheel is stopped after rotation. The roulette rotates anti-clockwise.

The Betting Styles & Strategy

There are two ways of betting in roulette - the inside betting (total six) and the outside betting (total five); together there are 11 different types of bets you can make with a roulette.

The Inside Bets

The simplest bet is to bet on any one number (1 to 36 or 0 and 00). If the number comes up you get a payout of 35:1.

You can bet on two numbers at the same time by placing a bet on the line in between the two numbers of your choice. If either of those numbers come up your payout is 17:1.

Then, you could bet on three numbers. For this you have to choose a row of three numbers and place your bet on the line in between the inside and outside areas. If any of those numbers come up you get a pay out of 11:1.

The next would logically be betting on four numbers. For this you would have to place your bet on the intersection where four number meet. If any of the numbers come up, you get a payout of 8:1.

You can make a five numbers bet as well. Though this bet pays 6:1 you would be advised not to play this bet as this is the only option that gives the casino a 2.5% advantage.

Last of the six inside bets, you could bet on six numbers at once with a payout of 5:1. You need to place your marker on the line in-between two three numbers rows for this bet.

The Outside Bets

There are five outside bets:

The 12 numbers column bet - you need to place your bet opposite the 0 and 00 in any of the spots marked 2-1. Wining is 2:1.

The 12 number numerical bet - here you have to choose on any of the three sets of 12 numbers, i.e. 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36. Payout is 2:1.

The 18 numbers - this bet can be placed on either black or red diamond. The payout is 1:1.

The odd or even bets - there 18 odd and 18 even numbers - choose either of the two and wager whether the numbers would be high (any number from 19 to 36) or low (1-18).

Open bet - you could bet any number of bets as long as you do not exceed the table's total.

I'll tell you a strategy.Start with 10$.Bet 1$ to 1 number.Play untill you win (then play 2$,and so on) or you lose all 10$.If this happens,don't worry.It was just not your day.
