Question:

Any good sites for searching scholarships I might be eligible for?

I just completed a BA in History & started graduate school this summer. Currently I work full-time at the university where I go to school & part of my benefits package includes tuition reimbursement. However, I'm considering looking for a new job, as I am not happy with my current job. Does anybody know of any sites or books that might list scholarships I could apply for to help me through school if I do lose my free ride through my current employer?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Google "Graduate scholarships" and you'll get a lot of hits.  My husband is going through the exact same thing right now.  We signed him up on fastweb and collegeboard, as well as all the other smaller sites.  Even if the site seems geared towards undergrad students, if you go to the websites of the scholarship provider, many of the scholarships are open to grad students as well.

  2. Try Sallie Mae's free scholarship search. Our free scholarship award database contains more than 2.9 million scholarships worth more than $16 billion. It is expanded and updated daily, and includes scholarships for grad students.

You'll need to fill out a profile, and then you'll automatically be matched with scholarships for which you are eligible.

    Good luck!
