I'm starting a club next year called "AWARE" (which stands for Association of World Affairs and Relief Efforts). The purpose of the club will be to spread awareness about the many calamities innocent people around the world face everyday. I think its extremely important for high school students to be knowledgeable of such issues since they are the ones who will be leading the world into the next generation in the near future. I admit I'm not the most "globally aware" person out there, so I need help finding facts and news stories that I can present to other high school students through this club. Once I provide them with the unfortunate but true facts about the calamities people around the world face, I can help fund raise and help the suffering people of the world. I know it sounds really cheesy for someone to think they can "help the suffering people of the world", but it's better than doing nothing but pointless idiotic things like spending hours on myspace (something I know most high school students waste half of their lives on), or being concerned with who the next American Idol will be. So, I'm on a mission to change the brainwashed minds of high school students, and help them be aware of their surrounding world. Please help me out!
