Any good student exchange programs to japan?

  1. you could check out AFS.  That's what I'm currently going through(haven't gone yet but already sent in my application)  It's a pretty big name in exchange programs.  I don't know the prices of other programs to compare with you unfortunately but I do know that the one year program is about $10,100.00.  They also have two other programs.  A semester program which is about $8,750.00 I believe, and a summer language study program which is $6,100.00.  Again, AFS is a big name in study abroad programs and so I would  recommend that one.  

        You simply apply for a pre-application which costs a non-refundable $75.00 which you can go for on their website afs.org.  After this, you will be sent an application packet in which you will fill out and send back to the address located on the back with a $500.00 deposit(this is included in the overall price).  Along with the packet will be contact information to some local AFS participants who will interview you after you contact them.
