I have lots of gift cards sitting around for places that I never shop at. Any suggestions as to how I could turn them into cash? Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks!

  1. Give them to people you know who shop at the stores in exchange for cash.

when I used to work retail and we had people come in to exchange things they brought with a gift card, we only gave them store credit.

  2. Most of the time if you buy things with a gift card and return them, you will only get store credit back - unless you pay with cash to begin with, there's no guarantee that you'll receive cash back...

  3. Make the purchases and sell the items at Ebay.

  4. Put them on sale on ebay. A $50 dollar value gift card for Aeropostale might be worth more than $50 for the right buyer. Just a thought.

  5. go in, make purchases, then go back for refund. tell them purchases didn't fit your needs, and you just want your money back. rarely will they give store credit. catch em while they are busy.

  6. put them onto ebay - you will most like get most of what you paid for it. I've seen some actually go for more than the face value

There are some websites which link to ebay and categorize all the gift cards too.

  7. sell them to people you know that shop at those stores
