  1. Just hit a hook.

  2. to hit a draw, tee the ball just left of center...strong right hand grip...rotate your shoulders and produce a swing that follows an inside out path similar to a half moon...a frown if you will rather than a smile.  Make sure your club face is slightly closed and don't forget to finish your shoulder rotation during your follow thru.  To promote this swing path, draw or imagine the "frown" with the ball at its center.  The backswing should follow the right half by pulling "inside" and the follow thru should follow the whole path..producing an inside out swingpath which will promote a right to left spin on the ball.  Good luck.

  3. The major culprit of slicing is the rotation of your lower body at the start of the downswing. If the right shoulder moves with the right hip, it causes the clubhead to go outside the downswing plane. Start the downswing with your arms moving backward and downward. Keep your back to the target until the arms rotate and keep your clubhead behind your back as long as you can. When your hands reach waist-high during the downswing, make a tossing motion. Your slice will be gone.

  4. Put a tee in the ground about 12 inches behind the ball and 3 inches toward you.  When you take the club away, take the club over the top of the tee.  This will promote an inside out swing that should straighten your drives a bit.

  5. If you ever find out PLEASE let me know!!! LOL

  6. SLICE CURE, in two simple steps.

    1. Shorten the length of and slow down your back swing.

2 (a). If you're right handed, keep your RIGHT ELBOW as close to your body as possible through impact.

2 (b). If you're left handed, keep your left elbow as close to your body as possible through impact.

    3. Watch your ball fly dead straight!

  7. The best way to stop slicing is to learn how the draw the ball.

At the range, just draw it. Inside out, close the face, whatever you have to do, just draw it. Don’t worry about how far you are hitting. Get the ball flight you want. Make sure you are warmed up, than kill the ball, I mean hit it as hard as you can, %110, about 10 times. If you start fading, start over, remember how the draws looked and felt, remember you impact position. Hit some more easy draws. Repeat this process until you can hit a draw with some consistency. You will probably spray the ball when you are trying to hit it hard, but just work it out. Golf is about muscle memory, think about a shot and let it happen. Try not to get too technical.

    Good Luck

  8. Inside out swing, turn your top hand over on the club also

  9. Without seeing your swing, it's hard to say.

However, this is what I do if I start slicing the driver.  When I slice, it's because the clubface is open at impact.  To help close it at impact, I take a slightly stronger grip.

Another thing I do is take a flatter swing plane.  I'll practice these at the driving range until the slice is gone and I'm hitting it straight or with a slight draw.

  10. I would make your grip stronger and flatten your swing plane.

Also, I wouldn't worry about the path of your club (inside out swing vs outside in). All that does is make the ball start off in the direction you finish. If you swing inside-out, the ball will start going right. If your club head is open, you will push right and slice. If your club head is closed, you will start right and hook. If you the club head is square, you produce a draw, from right to left.

If you find yourself slicing on the golf course, don't bother fixing it. The best thing to do is to play it. Aim left. It may be ugly, but the scorecard does not show any pictures.

  11. IF you break your hands open during the takeaway , THAT will make you slice . IF you swing inside out ,THAT will make you slice . IF  you have the face opened up at address ,THAT will make you slice .There are players that  FADE the ball with great sucess . A fade is a ball that moves left to right . I hope this helps .

  12. step back from the ball (slightly)  this will make u swing inside to out     MARK IS WRONG  inside to out produces a draw

u will feel uncomrortable at first.  almost as if u r reaching for the ball,  that feeling is what u want

  13. Stay behind the ball till impact.

  14. Its all in your finish. If you decelerate at the ball, your follow through will be incomplete and you will slice. Try to hit the ball with the toe of the club first for a while. Then try to hit the sweet spot again. Keep your eyes level.

  15. everyone is different but here are a few possibilites:

    change to a steel shaft

    slow down your swing

shorten your driver shaft by an inch (easy to do if you go steel)

If your swing is flawed, buy a lesson or two...let a professional help that, but equipment changes can help

ask you local pro before doing anything

  16. well first I would suggest checking your grip and your address position, most slices are from an open club face at impact, I would try letting your forearms and hands rotate through impact, also getting a lesson from a PGA pro helps a good deal too.
